Household Pest Control

Studies specifically show that poor pest management can cause serious health issues. A report in the New England Journal of Medicine proved that cockroaches and mice contribute to asthma in children. Half a million people end up in the emergency room each year due to problems that could have been prevented with proper pest management, including stings, bites, asthma attacks, West Nile Virus, Lyme Disease, and more. Quarterly Pest Management

Pest-Ops has been serving Knoxville over 20 years and in that time, we have observed the pest activity during each of the four seasons. That equals a lot of experience in knowing what to expect in the coming weeks and months around the calendar!

Our service is tailored to meet your needs and expectations. Each visit we focus on the insect, spider and rodent pests that are going to be active during that season. This knowledge- backed up by skilled technician application allows us to PREVENT many pest invaders before they become a Problem for you!

Pest-Ops technicians are certified in the state of Tennessee and trained by both our Master Technician and our Board Certified Entomologist. They follow a seven step inspection and service plan while on site at your home.

  • Mulch beds and perimeter landscaping

Mulch IS decaying plant matter, and the majority of insects in East Tennessee love it.

  • Porches, decks, and structures (attached to your house or on your property)

These places are the primary target of spiders to build webs and wasps to build nests.

  • Doors

All entry points including your garage door! Of course a door is the easiest way for you to enter your home, it’s also the easiest way for pests to enter as well.

  • Windows

Windows can provide numerous crevices to harbor insects and spiders. Some of those crevices can lead to the inside of your home.

  • Eaves & gutters

While this area is pretty far from ground, it can still provide a home to numerous pests. If the house has soffit vents (and most do) pests can enter the attic or get inside walls.

  • Plumbing penetrations and HVAC

Every house is unique and some are more secure that others. Penetrations are areas often overlooked that provide an easy access to ants and other pests.

  • Crawlspace

If your house has a crawlspace, it should be checked by your pest professional. Crawlspaces are a unique environment. They are cooler than the outside in the summer and warmer than the outside in the winter. They are most always dark and provide a place for all sorts of pests and varmints to live.

Mosquito Service

There are numerous species of mosquitos in the Knoxville area. Male mosquitos feed on nectar while females feed on blood. Their peak time of activity is dawn and dusk. During the day mosquitos pass the time hanging from the underside of leaves on shrubs and trees. Asian Tiger Mosquitos, the species that has the greatest health concern will rest in lower foliage (from 1’-8’ off the ground.

Our certified technicians carefully treat the shrubs and trees on your property to eliminate mosquitos from their daytime resting places.

Pest-Ops also inspects your property for breeding sites that mosquitos can use. Any standing water may potentially allow eggs and larvae to develop. We review our findings and show you those locations we identify around your home and lawn to help eliminate the threat.

Our #1 concern while ridding your home of unwanted bugs and pests is the health and safely of your family and pets.
