Knoxville Indoor Air Quality Inspection
Ambient Aire is Pest-OPS’ indoor air quality inspection service. We specialize in testing and measuring the quality of indoor environments. As a Knoxville IAQ certified company, we offer a variety of services to improve Knoxville indoor air quality including air quality inspection, laboratory testing, consulting, and duct cleaning. Our entry-level inspection is the IAQ Phase I Investigation and is designed to examine and identify problems within the indoor environment, draw conclusions based on the findings, and provide a list of recommendations for an effective solution.
We focus on moisture, drainage, ventilation, and other factors that contribute to mold growth. We can also inspect for allergens including dust mites, pollen, spores, and other airborne particles. We then provide a complete report with specific explanations and instructions to improve the air quality of your home or office.
The complete IAQ Investigation encompasses a far greater scope than just measurements of indoor pollutants; we provide a detailed inspection and evaluation of the building systems. First, we visually inspect the internal components and chambers of the air handling units and assess the filtration systems.
The Environmental Protection Agency reports that indoor air quality is often five times more polluted than outside air. The largest single action to improve your Knoxville indoor air quality is to remove the source materials from the air system. An examination is completed of a representative sampling of the ductwork systems visually or with a high resolution optical duct camera and video tape system, which included video monitoring of air ducts to ensure the cleanest possible solution. We also collect samples of microbial surfaces and air samples from representative areas of the building including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, formaldehyde, and hydrocarbons. After the inspection and cleaning, we provide a before and after video of the duct in which clients can see our results.
External factors are also examined to determine to what extent they contribute to problems within the building’s environment. We photo document relevant areas of the building including the roof of the building, AC units, the front of the building, the rear of the building (loading dock), office areas, shop areas, and janitorial closets. An examination of problem areas such as water stains on ceiling tiles, blocked or deflected air supplies, dirt radiating from the air supplies or ducts, dirty air returns with filters removed, and any other area possibly effecting the indoor air quality or comfort level.
At the conclusion of your Knoxville indoor air quality inspection, the environmental readings are recorded, and the samples collected and evaluated in our laboratory. The results are compared to regulatory and industry standards and guidelines. Detailed reports are then available about healthcare concerns.
